Tyler was born in Boston, Massachusetts in 1992. He grew up in Phoenix, where he enjoyed playing basketball, singing in the school choir, and writing anything from essays to rap lyrics. Tyler has received a bachelor's degree in Athletic Training from Northern Arizona University, a master's degree in Psychology from Northern Michigan University, and a PhD in Kinesiology from Michigan State University. He is currently an assistant professor in Michigan.
Though his primary career is in academia, he continues participation in the passions from his childhood; he plays intramural basketball and continues to write science fiction (unfortunately, he retired from rap). As a science fiction writer, Tyler enjoys bringing unique perspectives to traditional ideas. He is the creator and host of the Science Fiction Monologues podcast, which can be found on Spotify, Anchor, and other podcast sites.
Choice of Games LLC is a California Limited Liability Company dedicated to producing high-quality, text-based, multiple-choice games. We produce games in house, including Choice of the Dragon and Choice of Broadsides. We have also developed a simple scripting language for writing text-based games, ChoiceScript, which we make available to others for use in their projects, and we host games produced by other designers using ChoiceScript on our website. All of our games are available on the web. We also produce mobile versions of our games that can be played on iPhones, Android phones, and other smartphones.
